CBCC Online Learning Experience: Representing Parents in Child Welfare Cases

Often, a CIP or jurisdiction will focus on improving quality legal representation for all parties in child welfare cases. Although the concepts and resources in this online learning experience are focused on representing children and youth, many of them may apply regardless of who the client is in dependency court. However, a CIP may want more targeted resources and trainings that speak specifically to quality representation of parents, to use alongside these resources for representing youth. If you are working on improving quality representation for parents and have as a part of your CIP project a training component, you might use this online learning experience. Additional resources for quality parent representation are listed at the end of this module.
